Lignano is a peninsula along the Adriatic Sea and located between Venice and Trieste. With its mild climate and excellent sports and leisure facilities, Lignano is a popular vacation destination.

Lignano boasts a lively atmosphere and various places of interest; together, they provide the ideal setting for students to have fun and learn Italian.

The courses start on a Sunday and also ends on a Sunday. Thus, students must arrive and depart on Sundays.

Academic Center

The school boasts vast experience in the teaching of languages to young people and is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. The school is situated in an impressive resort on the edge of the Adriatic coast called Villaggio Adriatico, surrounded by a lush pine forest on the seafront. During vacation times, the center welcomes young Italian and foreign students who can enjoy a small private beach, numerous athletic facilities and rooms where they can participate in various cultural activities.

Italian Course Characteristics

The program features 20 cumulative lessons each week; classes are held from Monday to Saturday in small groups comprising a maximum of 10 students allowing students more personalized attention from their professors. Lesons are in 4 blocks of 45 minutes each. At the very beginning of the program, students take a language test to ensure that we place them in the appropriate Italian langauge course level.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in the Villaggio Adriatico. Rooms are double, triple or quadruple, sharing a bathroom and the room with others of the same gender and age. The program includes a full board meal plan of which all the meals are served in the residences restaurant.

Activities & Sports

Most activities take place with Italian students, allowing further opportunity to practice the language and learn more about the Italian culture. Activities include sports such as beach volleyball, tennis, skating or football, creative activities like singing in Italian, magazine design and editing, or recreational activites like beach dinners, BBQs or discos.

Cultural actibvities will enable the students to get to know places of interest such as Venice, Verona, the Gardaland theme park, Trieste, Udine etc.
