Academic Center
The summer course program in Verneuil, France is held in a stunning school that, during the academic year, serves as a boarding school for French children. It is situated in the French countryside and boasts 35 classrooms, 11 residences and a spacious dining hall. Athletic installastions include a pool, tennis courts, a football field, hand-ball court, and more...
Course Characteristics
The course program consists of 21 hours each week of general French lessons. Students are divided by level into groups of no more than 15 students and classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
In each residence, students can take advantage of common rooms as well as television rooms with a piano.
Accommodations
For the duration of their French course program, students (grouped by age and sex) will reside in shared rooms in the campus residence halls. The program includes full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Activities & Sports
To complement the French language courses, the program also includes a diverse program of extra-curricular activities, such as:
- Sports: tennis, pool time/ swimming, football, handball, basketball, ping-pong, badminton...
- Theme activities: disco music, karaoke, mask-making, cooking courses...
In addition, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, students will have the opportunity to go on full-day excursions to Paris, Versailles, Chambord, Rouen, Le Mans...
Each week, students will have teh option to spend a day in Disneyland (not included in the program price).
For each three-week period, the program will include a total of 42 hours of social activities, 42 hours of sports activities and 7 full-day excursions.
Counselors
For the entire duration of the French course program, students will be supervised by local counselors.
