Thanks to its geographic location, its climate and its history, Hyères / Toulon - the city of palm trees - is one of the most select destinations in France. With 35 kilometers of beaches and 30% of the area composed of forests, this location has become the biggest tourist destination in Provence.
Since the 1980's, Hyères / Toulon has continuously improved its services: hospitals, the famous "Space 3000", a forum, restaurants, shopping centers. Thanks to these improvements it is the most advanced location in the region of Var.
From 9 to 17 years old, divided into to the following age groups:
Students can begin the program on any Sunday between June 30 and August 24.
Arrivals on Sundays and departures on Saturdays.
The program takes place on the Le Navarre campus, a spectacular campus comprising 5,000 square meters located on the grounds of a vineyard. It acommodates up to 200 students. The campus is situated in a quiet environment that's just 12 kilometers from the center and beaches of Lalonde and the port.
The facilities of the campus include spacious classrooms, dormitories, a dining hall, a 16m pool, a TV room, a basketball court, a tennis court, a cafeteria and a theater for afternoon and evening activities.
A qualified team of native counselors will be with the students at all times.
The program comprises 20 French lessons per week in reduced sized groups of 15 students at the most. On the first day a spoken and written test with a professor will determine the level of each student to accommodate them in the corresponding group to their level. Each lesson amounts to 45 minutes of actual class.
Students will stay on the campus with full board provided every day of the week. Rooms are multiple occupancy, triple or quadruple, and students will also share a bathroom.
After classes and lunch, during the afternoons, daily activities and excursions are organized both in the residences and outside of the academic center. The program includes visits to destinations such as Aix en Provence, Ile de Porquerolles, Marseille, Bandol, Toulon, les Mimosas or Le Lavandou as well as sport or cultural activities such as mini-olympics, BBQ's, theater, etc.
The program also includes 2 sailing sessions of 90 minutes each. Those who don't want to participate can advise the counselors. Students may also increase the number of sessions to 5 by paying the corresponding supplement.
A qualified team of native counselors will be with the students at all times. Upon arrival the students will be met by counselors at Nice airport and will also be accompanied for their departure.
