About Antibes / Juan-les-Pins
The sister cities of Antibes and Juan Les Pins are directed by a single administration and share a population of approximately 70,000. To the east, Antibes, which spends its days behind its city walls, represents the Blue Coast's Mediterranean and historical heritage.
To the west, Juan Les Pins, with its beaches, jazz festivals and variety of other summertime festivities, spends three months each year as a vibrant summer destination before recuperating its typical quiet vibe.
Academic Center
Since it was founded in 1985, the school has welcomed students from around the globe as they come to learn French, play sports, go on excursions and more.
During the summer, students live and learn alongside between 100 and 200 other students. The school boasts a qualified team of counselors that accompany the students and direct all school activities, always speaking in French.
Course Characteristics
While the vacation aspect is important, we think of the program as summer courses and not as vacation with classes. Students will have 20 French lessons per week in small groups of students, a combination which makes aims to make participation fun. We combine our courses at the French Summer Language School with a variety of other activities and sports. The goal is for students to not only enjoy their summer vacations but above all to improve their French by leaps and bounds.
We are always sure to maintain small class sizes, with a maximum of 15 students per group. Our international student body hails from around the globe, but all come with the same goal: to learn French.
All of the professors at the French summer language school in Antibes/ Juan Les Pins are young French-speakers with several years of experience teaching French as a second language. Our professros are well-acquainted with the ages and interests of our students and keep them in mind as they prepare classes and activities.
On the first day of class, students will take a written language test as well as an oral interview with a professor to determine their level of French. Following the completion of the test, students will be grouped into the appropriate course level.
