Leysin is located at an altitude of some 1,264 meters in the Swiss Alps - an incredible spot in the heart of Europe. Undoubtedly one of the jewels of Vaud district's Alps, Leysin is a beautiful city in French-speaking Switzerland which has succeeded at combining its traditional charm and the vibrant liveliness of a summer vacation destination and wintertime skier's paradise.
Montreux is located in the Southwest of Switzerland, around the beautiful Lake Lemán. Montreux features idillic landscapes, surrounded by vineyars and ahas a privileged view of the Alps. This town has been an inspiration for many artists. Undoubtedly, anyone who visits this city has fallen to the charms of this unmatched corner of the world.
Leysin: 10 - 16 years old
Montreux: 14 - 18 years old
Students may begin their program on any Sunday between June 23 and August 4.
Programs run from Sunday to Saturday.
The Leysin program takes place in the facilities of what one day were the Mont-Blanc Palace and Belvedere hotels. The academic center is equipped with modern classrooms, auditorium, computer room, terraces, cafeterias, disco and wireless Internet connection.
The Montreux academic center contains high quality installations. It features fully-equipped classrooms, a computer lab, large common areas, cafeteria, a panoramic garden and a terrace, and a room with learning resources.
The students receive 20 French, English or German lessons, alterantively.
They will have a level test on the first Monday of the course. Leysen accepts students from beginner to advanced levels.
Montreux requires that the students already have an intermediate level (1 year of previous learning).
Each lesson is equivalent to 45 minutes.
The students stay in double rooms with a private bathroom, There is also the possibility of staying in a single room or deluxe souble rooms with an extra cost. The treatment is full board.
The team of local counselors organizes a daily schedule of activities for the afternoons following classes. At night, students can continue practicing what they have learned in class with their peers by partaking in a variety of activities, such as BBQs, movie nights, discos, etc. Each week there is one half-day excursion and, on Saturday, one full-day excursion to such inviting places as the Castle of Chillon, Lausanne's Interactive Olympic Museum, and the city of Geneva, among others.
Tennis: 3 sessions per week (both groups)
Horse Riding: 3 sessions per week
Dance: 3 sessions per week of hip-hop, jazz, salsa, modern dance etc. (13 - 17 year olds)
Adventure Sports: 3 sessions per week in which students will go on mountain bike rides, zipwires etc. (13 - 17 year olds).
The airport transfers included in the price are for Sunday arrivals between 10 am and 8 pm and Saturday departures between 10 am and 8 pm.
