About Torbay, England
The popular tourist hub of Torbay is formed by the three beautiful coastal cities of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, located on the Devon Coast in southwestern England. The warm microclimate of the area, the golden beaches, the palm trees and the elegant sport marinas have given it the fitting name of the English Riviera. The school is situated just five minutes from the center of Paignton, an enjoyable coastal tourist center, with an impressive backdrop of beautiful cliffs and fine-sand beaches. Accommodations
University Residences
The option of lodging in a university residence either in a single or double room. In both residences the student has access to common kitchens, given that this accommodation option does not include a meal plan. Since Torbay is not very big, the residences are located very near the academic center.
Families
The most common accommodation option is in a host family. We visit our participating families often to make sure the student feels at home. They are carefully selected and provide a warm and welcoming environment for students. The family option provides you with either a single or double room. The meal plan is half-board for every day of the week.
Cultural Activities
The academic center has a social and cultural activities department to aid students in organizing events. Students will enjoy barbeques on the beach, concerts, group meetings... and on weekends they can visit Bristol, Exeter or Plymouth, among other destinations.
