Summer Chinese Course in Shanghai

Shanghai & Beijing, China

Study Chinese in Shanghai

The two Chinese characters in the name "Shanghai" (, shàng, y hǎi) literally mean "on, in or above" and "sea", a reflection of Shanghai's location on the shores of the China Sea.

Shanghai is a tourist destination perfect for those interested in the modern history of China, for its historic monuments, such as the Bund and the City God Temple, for the skyscrapers of Pudong and for being a cosmopolitan hub of culture and design. Today Shanghai is described as "the pearl of the Orient" for its relaxed appearance.

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China, the headquartes of the Central Commitee of the Chinese Communist Party and the People's Central Government of China. It is the political, economic, cultural and communication center of the country, as well as the center of international exchanges. Beijing is gifted with an ample cultural heritage thanks to its long history, and it is the starting point for any visit to the Great Wall of China.
