About Sevilla, Spain

Charming, romantic and endlessly picturesque, Sevilla is the folkloric heart of Spain. Sevilla maintains the warmth and intimacy of a small town, despite its status as Spain's fourth largest city and the capital of Andalucía.

If you want to get to know the folkloric heart of Spain - the scent of orange trees, the click-clack of flamenco shoes, brightly dressed women in polka-dots and the heat of the Andalusian sun - Sevilla is the city for you. Brimming with deeply-rooted traditions, such as the elaborate Holy Week processions, passionate flamenco "tablaos" and the country's beloved "tapas," it's hard not to fall in love with Sevilla.

Over the years, Sevilla has seen the glory of the Roman Empire, the luxurious sophistication of the Moors, and the Christian reconquista, which eventually gave the city what is now the largest cathedral in the world. In other words, to say that Sevilla possesses an "interesting" history would be an understatement!
