Munich

Study in Berlin, Munich or Cologne

Munich, the city of arts and culture, is a cosmopolitan city, and at the same time a village of more than a million citizens. It is a total work of art: Greek columns, Italian Baroque facades and French stucco works characterize the Old Quarter of the city. Munich is the third largest city of Germany and, at the same time, the capital of Bavaria. The "Oktoberfest", the world-renowned beer festival, takes place there every year. But is is also possible to live the typical charm and atmosphere of Bavaria in the open-air bars all year round.

There are many reasons for going to Munich: around 40 theatres feature national and international productions, more than 50 museums host world famous collections of ancient and modern art, and the German Museum is the biggest museum in the world. Plus, Munich is the home of makes as famous as BMW or Siemens. It is also an important center for information technologies and biochemistry. Two universities, a Superior Music School, and other academies with over 100,000 students make of this city a lively one, with a lot of activity in bars, biergartens and many festivals. A lot of parks, together with the Olympic park, make of Munich a green city.

Sport and leisure are very higly regarded in a city with attractive surroundings and natural landscapes, mounts and lakes, palaces and castles. It is less than an hour trip to get to the Alps mountains.
