The Arabic School in Cairo

The school was founded in 1975, and has become the leading institution specializing in teaching Arabic. In fact, it was the first school of its kind in the city. It is located in the Sahafeyeen district in a tranquil residential neighborhood and just a short distance from Dokki and Zamalek.

The school offers 18 classrooms equpped with air conditioning, a library, a cafeteria, a study room and Internet access. The building was renovated just a short time ago, and all facilities are very modern. There are 9 different language levels and classes are given from Monday to Friday.

Accommodations

Residence

The school residence is located in the same building as the school and occupies the 4th and 5th floors. The residence has 9 rooms (7 singles and 2 double studios). Each room has a bed, dresser and desk with chair. The studios have a refrigerator.

There is a shared bathroom for every 2 - 3 rooms. Students will have access to two fully-equipped common kitchens as well as a lounge / dining area. Common areas are cleaned three times each week.

Hotel

The school has a selection of 3- and 4-star hotels that are located near the school. The student can stay in the hotel during the full duration of the program or for just a few days while the school helps him or her find shared apartment accommodation with other students.

Shared Apartments

The shared apartments are managed directly with the student upon his or her arrival. The student will sign a contract with the owner upon his / her arrival and will have to leave a one-month deposit. The price of the apartment does not include water, electricity and telephone bills.

Cultural Activites

Not only the city but also its surroundings offer an extremely diverse social program. Egypt's rich past has left behind monuments and places that you must visit: the Pyramids, the Sphinx, mosques, museums...

On weekends there will be excursions to such places as Alexandria, Menfis or Sakkara.

The school has an activities department that offers students a weekly program of activities. Students may sign up in the school for the activities that interest them.
